With Public Libraries on the list of facilities able to open in Phase 2, KITSCOTY PUBLIC LIBRARY is pleased to announce that we will be opening BUT with some changes to make it safe for both patrons and staff. The following will be our operation hours and procedures for the months of July and August (beginning July 7)
WE WILL BE OPEN BY APPOINTMENT ONLY ON TUESDAYS BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 12 NOON AND 7PM FOR ONE FAMILY AT A TIME. WHILE WE ARE NOT DISCOURAGING CHILDREN IN THE LIBRARY WE REQUEST THAT THEY SHOULD AT ALL TIMES BE CLOSE TO AN ADULT.
APPOINTMENTS WILL BE SET FOR 20 MINUTES. THIS TIME WILL BE FOR YOU TO BROWSE, SELECT AND CHECK OUT MATERIAL. AFTER EVERY PATRON LEAVES THE STAFF WILL THEN TAKE TIME TO SANITIZE BEFORE THE NEXT APPOINTMENT. WE REQUEST THAT IF YOU ARRIVE EARLY THAT YOU WAIT IN YOUR VEHICLE UNTIL YOUR ALLOTTED TIME.
WASHROOMS WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE.
MASKS WILL NOT BE MANDATORY BUT ARE CERTAINLY WELCOME TO BE WORN.
YOU WILL NEED TO CONTACT THE LIBRARY THROUGH OUR INBOX ON OUR FACEBOOK PAGE TO BOOK AN APPOINTMENT. PLEASE REMEMBER THAT IF YOU ARE SICK OR HAVE ANY SYMPTOMS TO STAY HOME, CONTACT THE STAFF AS TO YOUR CANCELLATION AND IF YOU WISH YOU CAN REBOOK YOUR APPOINTMENT.
Interlibrary loans are still unavailable. We will notify everyone when they are available again. Until then only books within our library are available to check out and can be reserved with your library card ahead of time if you wish.
We know that these procedures are different and we would like to thank you for your patience and willingness to work with us during the summer. We will keep the community informed when we can return to our regular library operations.
